Minecraft PE 1.26.0.27 [Beta] — Breeze Rod Crafting, Zombie Nautilus, Vibrant Visuals

Developers released Minecraft 1.26.0.27 Beta for Android (Bedrock Edition). Experimental drop with 11 key changes: long-awaited Breeze Rod crafting, new mobs Nautilus and Zombie Nautilus (with unique underwater saddle mechanics!), Vibrant Visuals system with color/lighting customization, texture smoothing, and massive baby mob redesign. 45 critical fixes including projectile reflection from Ghast fireballs and zombie horses in water. Testing on Android — checking if Vibrant Visuals crashes old devices!

45 Bug Fixes — Critical Gameplay Fixes

Full breakdown for farmers and PvP players:

  1. Double Saddle Sound: Fixed bug where saddle equip played sound_event twice (client-server sync fix).

  3. Xbox Split-Screen: Fixed save corruption when playing Xbox split-screen. Critical fix for console players.
  4. On-Screen Keyboard: Fixed “unclosable” on-screen keyboard bug on Android (IME fix).
  5. 3rd Person Item Rotation: Items in hand now rotate on Y-axis in 3rd person view (item_in_hand rotation fix). Was: static model. Now: follows camera.
  6. Spruce Wood Textures: Updated UV-mapping for spruce_log and spruce_planks (were offset by 1 pixel).
  7. Graphics Switching: Changing graphics modes (Simple/Fancy/Vibrant) in main menu no longer breaks textures (no restart required).
  8. Vibrant Visuals Fixes:
    • Fixed shadow striping when mode enabled
    • Removed double tinting of held items
    • Screen no longer goes completely black inside blocks (void fog fix)
    • Banner poles no longer display dark
  9. Shields with Banners: Correct display of Shield + Banner pattern in first-person view (FPV model fix).
  10. Item Models: Held items no longer scale up with screen resolution increase (DPI scaling fix).
  11. Storage: Fixed container content deletion (chests/shulkers) when quickly equipping armor (inventory desync fix).
  12. Zombie Riders: Zombies can ride mobs again (zombie jockey AI restore). Was broken in 1.26.0.25.
  13. Water Damage: Zombie horses and Zombie Nautilus no longer take sun damage in water (is_immune_to_fire in water = true).
  14. AI Stare: Mobs no longer stare at players for long (reduced stare duration). Reduced detection range for looking.
  15. Nautilus Speed: Fixed constant speed increase during aggression (speed buff stacking). Now stable presuit speed.
  16. Player Sleep: Skeleton Horse, Zombie Horse, Zombie Nautilus and Camel Corpse no longer prevent player sleep (sleep interruption fix). Previously counted as “monster nearby”.
  17. Skin Packs: Fixed skin_packs and custom_skins transfer on Windows (file path fix).
  18. Projectile Reflection: All projectiles (arrows, tridents, fireballs) correctly reflect from Ghast fireballs (projectile reflection fix). Previously some passed through.
  19. Realms: Fixed Realms save and sync errors (cloud save fix).

API updates for developers:

  • Entity Components: New components for Nautilus (minecraft:swim_animation, minecraft:underwater_saddle)
  • Vibrant Visuals API: Access to color settings via scripting (vibrantVisuals.setColorGrading())
  • Sound Events: New event IDs for underwater equipping (equip.saddle.water, equip.armor.nautilus)
  • Crafting: Support for custom recipes with Breeze Rod as catalyst
  • Texture: texture_smoothing parameter in manifest.json for addons

WARNING: This is a Beta Preview version (1.26.0.27). Backup your worlds before installing! Nautilus and Vibrant Visuals are experimental features, may change in release. Texture smoothing may crash on Mali-GPUs.
