This mod introduces the Infinity Stones into Minecraft.
Infinity Forge is designed to incorporate the Infinity Stones into the latest iterations of Minecraft.
This modification primarily introduces the Infinity Stones, powerful artifacts that can be utilized for immense abilities (such as the Infinity Gauntlet) along with containers for these stones (like the Infinity Tesseracts).
While the stones themselves aren’t uniquely remarkable, they possess one key quality: they are essentially indestructible. Each stone has unpredictable abilities. For instance, holding the Power Stone can result in your character’s demise after a certain period, while the Space Stone may teleport you to an unknown location—maybe right into a wall or perhaps to a safe zone. The possibilities are uncertain!
The idea of the tesseract acting as a vessel for the Space Stone intrigued me. To streamline the mod creation (and simplify my workload), I opted to use tesseracts as the containers for the Infinity Stones. Each tesseract is designated for a specific Infinity Stone: the Power Tesseract contains the Power Stone, the Space Tesseract accommodates the Space Stone, and so on. Tapping on a tesseract will destroy it and yield the respective stone.
The Infinity Gauntlet allows users to harness all six Infinity Stones. Currently, the abilities associated with the Gauntlet when wielding these stones are limited, and the power distribution from the six stones may require further balancing.
Up to this point, after extensive testing of the mod with various mixins, I have not encountered any major crashes when used alongside these mods:
The mixins employed (and those planned for future use) shouldn’t adversely impact other mods, although I can’t guarantee complete compatibility. Feel free to integrate this mod into any modpack or other configurations.
Currently, there isn’t an official issues page available, but you can submit bug reports via GitHub. Please provide a concise title outlining the issue and a detailed explanation of the problem encountered. It’s helpful to attach crash logs, details about other mods in use, and versions of those mods. I will do my best to diagnose and address any reported issues. As the mod is still in beta, I’m not accepting inquiries regarding missing features, textures, visual flaws, or minor bugs at this time.
A known problem includes the Iris shader pack, which overrides my custom shader glint, resulting in the stones appearing less impressive than intended. I have plans to rectify this.
I don’t intend to port this mod to a newer version at the moment, as I have numerous ideas in the pipeline.
I want to acknowledge Lucraft for his 1.12.2 mods that feature the Infinity Stones. I created this mod to capture the essence of a comprehensive Infinity Stone mod for the latest Minecraft versions. I utilized textures from his Infinity Gauntlet due to my preference for his design style, although I am working on further developing my own textures. The remaining elements of this mod were inspired by various mods from the 1.12 era of Minecraft.
