Mod «VanillaEX (Vanilla)» aims to enhance the functionality and gameplay experience of survival in Minecraft. All implemented features are those that could seamlessly fit into the vanilla game. This means that the modifications were made with the intention of keeping the game balanced, ensuring that no player feels disadvantaged. Overall, this is a truly enjoyable mod for Minecraft Bedrock, introducing delightful changes to the game!

How does it work?

For a detailed list of all changes, you can refer to the section below on this page. However, one of the most significant updates is the ability to place a chest in a boat while sailing in Minecraft.

Another enjoyable and popular addition is the new parrot chicks! They appear when two parrots breed, which is also a new feature.

New Creature Behaviors

Boats – can now hold up to one chest. To open it, sneak and then long-press on the boat with the chest.
Elder Guardians – do not attack squids. Immune to knockback.
Endermen – are frightened by rabbits.
Evokers – can summon a vex as one of their attack types.
Guardians – do not attack squids or fish.
Llamas – are controlled similarly to horses.
Parrots – breed using any seeds. Parrot chicks!
Polar Bears – attack strays.
Rabbits – do not flee from players or monsters. They also resemble their Java Edition counterparts more closely.
Strays – are scared of polar bears.
Wither Skeletons – transform into blazes upon entering or falling into lava.

Changes

Compatibility with version 1.6
New feature: Zombies will not attack you if you wear a zombie head.
New feature: Creepers will not attack you if you wear a creeper head.
New feature: Skeletons will not attack you if you wear a skeleton head.
New feature: If you wear a Wither Skeleton head, they will not attack you.

Installing VanillaEX (.mcpack)

Download the mod labeled — «.mcpack» below.
Run the downloaded file to import the addon/texture into MCPE.
Open Minecraft Pocket Edition and go to world settings.
Set the imported:
— Resource Packs.
— Add-ons.
Select the imported resource/add-on packs in each section.
It is recommended to restart the game client Minecraft PE afterward.
Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the addon!

Installing VanillaEX (.zip)

Download the mod below.
Extract the two folders from the archive.
Move the folder «VanillaEX-BP» to the /games/com.mojang/behavior_packs/ folder.
Move the folder «VanillaEX-RP» to the /games/com.mojang/resource_packs/ folder.
Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition.
Create a new world or edit an existing one.
Set the selected world with the resource pack and add-on that you previously moved to the resource_packs and behavior_packs folders.
Done! Restart Minecraft PE and enjoy the game!
