The Turtles
The mod «The Turtles (Turtles)» brings turtles to Minecraft Pocket Edition. These turtles are inspired by screenshots shared in an announcement from Mojang, which indicated that turtles would soon be introduced to MCPE. If you can’t wait for the official update and want them in your game today, you can utilize the provided mod.
How does it work?
Whenever a squid spawns in Minecraft PE, there is a 50% chance that a turtle will appear instead. Since they replace pigs, they can also be found on land, where they will suffocate if they don’t reach water quickly enough.
There are both baby and adult turtles. The main differences between them are their size, and the baby turtle’s head is slightly raised to prevent it from scraping the ground.
Turtles are aquatic creatures and can only survive for extended periods in water.
Installing The Turtles (.mcpack)
- Download the mod labeled as «.mcpack» below.
- Open the downloaded file to import the add-on/texture into MCPE.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition and navigate to the world settings.
- For the world, enable the imported:
— Resource Packs.
— Add-on Packs. - Select the imported resource packs/add-ons in each section.
- It is recommended to restart the Minecraft PE client afterward.
- Start Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the add-on!
