The Pug (Мопс)
The mod «The Pug» transforms the wolf in Minecraft Pocket Edition into an adorable and innocent pug. Pugs are a dog breed known for their charming wrinkled faces and compact square bodies. They possess all the physical traits that make them instantly lovable to most people. However, they are not timid at all (at least in Minecraft PE), as they are stronger creatures than wolves!
How does the pug mod work?
In MCPE, the wolf is replaced by a cute pug. Although it appears more innocent (and less aggressive) than a wolf, it is actually twice as strong and has double the health.
You can tame the pug by feeding it cake.
- IOS / Android: Hold the cake in your hand, long-press on the dog, and select Tame
- Windows 10: Hold the cake in your hand and right-click on the dog to tame it
Essentially, it has the same functions as a wolf. For instance, you can put it on a leash or command it to sit/stand.
The pug will become your most loyal companion in Minecraft PE. It will attack any threat, even those much larger than itself, and since it is twice as strong as a wolf, it can deal significant damage.
You should definitely keep it unleashed for as long as possible, but this comes with greater responsibility. You wouldn’t want your dog to attack other dogs or players in the world of Minecraft Pocket Edition. For example, if you accidentally click on another player, your dog will immediately follow your command and rush to attack. Therefore, it’s better to keep the pug on a leash when there are many people around.

Installing The Pug (.mcpack)
- Download the mod labeled as «.mcpack» below.
- Run the downloaded file to import the add-on/resource pack into MCPE.
- Open Minecraft Pocket Edition and go to world settings.
- Set the imported packs for the world:
— Resource Packs.
— Add-ons. - Select the imported resource/add-on packs in each section.
- It is recommended to restart the Minecraft PE client afterward.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the add-on!
Installing The Pug (.zip)
- Download the mod below.
- Extract the two folders from the archive.
- Move the folder «Pug AddOn (B)» to the /games/com.mojang/behavior_packs/ folder.
- Move the folder «Pug AddOn» to the /games/com.mojang/resource_packs/ folder.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition.
- Create a new world or edit an existing one.
- Set the selected world to use the resource pack and add-on that you previously moved to the resource_packs and behavior_packs folders.
- Done! Restart Minecraft PE and enjoy your game!
