The Old Horses
The mod «The Old Horses (Old Horse)» enables players to utilize the classic horse model and textures. As this is merely a resource pack, you can also earn achievements in Minecraft Pocket Edition while playing on Xbox Live. This is perfect for those who prefer the old horse model over the new one introduced in later versions of MCPE prior to 1.2.6. In the future, this mod may cease to function if Mojang decides to alter how horse data is stored in the file system. However, for now, you can easily use it, and it will work flawlessly.
Here’s how the horse will appear when you activate the provided mod in Minecraft PE:
And this is how the horse textures will look in-game if you use Vanilla textures and are on version 1.2.6 or higher.
Installing The Old Horses (.mcpack)
- Download the mod labeled as «.mcpack» below.
- Open the downloaded file to import the addon/texture into MCPE.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition and navigate to world settings.
- Set the imported:
— Add-on Packs for the world. - Select the imported resource packs/addon in each section.
- It is recommended to restart the Minecraft PE client afterward.
- Start Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the addon!
Installing The Old Horses (.zip)
- Download the mod below.
- Extract the folder named «OldHorses» from the archive.
- Move the folder OldHorses to the /games/com.mojang/behavior_packs/ directory.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition.
- Create a new world or edit an existing one.
- Set the selected world to use the addon you previously moved to the behavior_packs folder.
- All set! Restart Minecraft PE and enjoy your gameplay!
