The Birds
Have you been eager to encounter a new mob in Minecraft Pocket Edition? Or perhaps a bird? Great news, as the mod “The Birds” will introduce a vibrant green bird into the game! Currently, the mod is still in development, but there are already some changes in the world of Minecraft PE. At this stage, the new mob mimics the behavior of bats, and we hope to see more bird varieties soon. In the meantime, enjoy the demo version of this upcoming mod that awaits you in MCPE!
How Does It Work?
As mentioned earlier, this mod is quite straightforward. It simply replaces the bat’s appearance with that of a green bird.
We all know that bats spawn in caves, and the same will apply to the birds! The mod creator hasn’t increased the spawn rate of this mob type, but you can always add some color to your Minecraft Pocket Edition world using spawn eggs! The result of breaking a spawn egg in MCPE will yield a bird:
So, what is the purpose of this mod if it only changes the bat textures to bird ones? I suggest using a hunter skin, spawning a lot of birds, and then taking a bow to hunt them while exploring the world of MCPE! It’s a fun way to spend your time..
Birds are indeed fast, making it quite challenging to aim, but it’s a fantastic idea for entertainment! I hope this mod continues to evolve, and we see something new!
Installing The Birds (.mcpack)
- Download the mod marked with “.mcpack” below.
- Run the downloaded file to import the addon/texture into MCPE.
- Open Minecraft Pocket Edition and go to the world settings.
- Set the imported:
— Resource Packs for the world. - Select the imported resource packs in the resource section.
- It is recommended to restart the Minecraft PE client afterward.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world in MCPE, and enjoy the addon!
Installing The Birds (.zip)
- Download the mod below.
- Extract the “The Birds Addon” folder from the archive.
- Move the “The Birds Addon” folder to the /games/com.mojang/resource_packs/ directory.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition.
- Create a new world or edit an existing one.
- Set the addon you previously moved to the resource_packs folder for the selected world.
- All set! Restart Minecraft PE and enjoy the game!
