Talking Villagers
Do you frequently visit villages in the world of Minecraft PE? It’s likely a popular spot that players enjoy exploring. However, the villagers there have a limited way of communicating, making it difficult for an average person to understand them. To address this, the mod “Talking Villagers” has been developed for Minecraft Pocket Edition, which introduces a few phrases in English for the villagers. While the number of phrases isn’t extensive, it’s certainly an improvement over complete silence.
How does it work?
Some sound files in your favorite game, Minecraft Pocket Edition, have been replaced with new ones. Now, the villagers in MCPE will communicate with you in English based on your interactions with them. For instance, if you hit a villager once, they will ask you to leave them alone.
Installing Talking Villagers (.mcpack)
- Download the mod labeled as “.mcpack” below.
- Open the downloaded file to import the add-on/texture into MCPE.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition and navigate to the world settings.
- Apply the imported:
— Add-on Packs to your world. - Select the imported resource packs/add-ons in each section.
- It is recommended to restart the Minecraft PE client afterward.
- Start Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world in MCPE, and enjoy the add-on!
Installing Talking Villagers (.zip)
- Download the mod below.
- Extract the “Talking Villagers” folder from the archive.
- Move the “Talking Villagers” folder to the /games/com.mojang/behavior_packs/ directory.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition.
- Create a new world or edit an existing one.
- Apply the add-on that you previously moved to the behavior_packs folder to the selected world.
- All set! Restart Minecraft PE and enjoy your gameplay!
