Soldiers
The mod “Soldiers” introduces a new mob called the Soldier to Minecraft Bedrock. Soldiers are neutral mobs that will only attack if they perceive a threat. You can tame a soldier to build your own army in Minecraft! They feature an impressive leveling system that allows you to grant your soldiers various abilities and ranks.
How does it work?
Soldiers replace Skeletons, so you will notice them spawning naturally in your Minecraft world, especially at night.
You can recruit a soldier by giving him a Gold Nugget, which will transform him into the “Eagle” unit. Once recruited, the soldier will stop moving. To make him follow you, you need to lure him with a bone.
You can enhance your soldiers by giving them different items. Here’s a list of the various rank advancements.
- Advancements
- Give the soldier an Iron Ingot (2nd advancement) = Sniper Rifle (+10 attack damage, slow firing speed)
- Give the soldier a Gold Ingot (3rd advancement) = Machine Gun (+0.25 attack damage, high firing speed)
- Give the soldier a Diamond (4th advancement) = Grenade Launcher (fires small fireballs, normal fire rate, slows down the soldier’s movement)
- Give the soldier an Emerald (5th advancement) = Rocket Launcher (fires fireballs, normal firing speed, slows down the soldier’s movement)
You may need to reload the chunk in Minecraft Bedrock after taming a soldier for the weapon to appear in his hands. This can be done by either restarting the world or moving a significant distance to unload the chunk and then returning to it.
Recruited soldiers will fight for you, shooting at hostile mobs with their weapons. Soldiers have different abilities based on their current level/rank advancement.
Installing Soldiers (.mcpack)
- Download the mod labeled “.mcpack” below.
- Run the downloaded file to import the addon/texture into MCPE.
- Open Minecraft Pocket Edition and go to the world settings.
- Set the imported:
— Resource Packs.
— Addon Packs. - Select the imported resource/addon packs in each section.
- It is recommended to restart the game client Minecraft PE after this.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the addon!
