Slingshot
Almost everyone in this world has played with a classic slingshot at some point, and some may still enjoy it today! If you’re eager to have some fun with a slingshot now, I’m excited to share that you can do so without stepping away from your smartphone screen! Introducing the “Slingshot” mod for Minecraft Pocket Edition, which adds a new item – the slingshot – to the game. While it won’t deal significant damage, it will certainly provide you with some enjoyable moments in MCPE.
How Does It Work?
In Minecraft PE, the bow will be replaced by the slingshot, and arrows will be substituted with pebbles (small stones). The slingshot functions similarly to the bow, but with reduced damage and increased accuracy! (now the projectile will drop less distance than before).
The tool appears slightly larger than a typical slingshot in Minecraft Pocket Edition, but this is the only way it would look right in your hands.
Installing Slingshot (.mcpack)
- Download the mod marked with “.mcpack” below.
- Open the downloaded file to import the addon/texture into MCPE.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition and go to the world settings.
- Set the imported:
— Resource Packs for the world.
— Addons for the world. - Select the imported resource/addon packs in each section.
- It is recommended to restart the Minecraft PE client afterward.
- Start Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the addon!
Installing Slingshot (.zip)
- Download the mod below.
- Extract the two folders from the archive.
- Move the folder “Slingshot-B” to the /games/com.mojang/behavior_packs/ folder.
- Move the folder “Slingshot-R” to the /games/com.mojang/resource_packs/ folder.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition.
- Create a new world or edit an existing one.
- Set the selected world with the resource pack and addon that you previously moved to the resource_packs and behavior_packs folders.
- Done! Restart Minecraft PE and enjoy the game!
