Sea Lantern Follower

The mod “Sea Lantern Follower” introduces a unique glowing entity that will follow the player around in Minecraft Bedrock, illuminating the surrounding area. The concept is designed to replicate portable torches similar to those found in mods for Minecraft Java, like Dynamics Lights. This add-on is also well-suited for multiplayer gameplay. Currently, this is the initial version, with plans for updates to address some minor issues soon.

How does it work?

To activate the sea lantern that follows you, the player must hold a torch in their active hotbar slot and move around. Once activated, the sea lantern will appear three blocks behind the player’s current position in Minecraft. This placement close to the player is essential to reduce collisions between the player and the lantern. The sea lantern will spawn at head level and only if the initial location was occupied by air to prevent any environmental glitches in Minecraft. To deactivate it, simply switch to another item in the active hotbar slot instead of the torch.

Installing Sea Lantern Follower (.mcpack)

• Download the mod labeled “.mcpack” below.
• Open the downloaded file to import the add-on/texture into Minecraft.
• Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition and navigate to the world settings.
• Set the imported:
  — Add-on Packs for the world.
• Select the imported resource packs/add-ons in each section.
• It is recommended to restart the Minecraft PE client afterward.
• Start Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the add-on!
