Rideable Chickens
Rideable Chickens Mod — this modification introduces an exciting feature to the world of Minecraft Pocket Edition, allowing players to ride chickens. Although chickens are relatively weak creatures, they can transport you anywhere on the planet in Minecraft with ease. One of the main advantages of chickens is their widespread availability throughout the Minecraft Pocket Edition world. Additionally, chickens are immune to damage when they fall from heights, which also applies to you. If you decide to leap from a high cliff, just bring a chicken along, and you’ll land safely without injury.
How to Ride Chickens?
Approach a chicken and press the “Mount” button to hop on. Hold a diamond sword in your hand to steer the chicken’s direction.
- iOS / Android: long-press on the chicken, then tap the “Mount” button.
- Windows 10: right-click on the chicken.
While this mode of transportation in Minecraft PE isn’t the fastest, it is certainly safe. If you need to reach the base of a mountain quickly, you can jump off the peak while riding a chicken and land softly without taking any fall damage.
Always keep an eye on the chicken’s movement and control its direction with the diamond sword. If you’re not careful while steering, it could lead to unfortunate outcomes.
Some players prefer riding horses, while others enjoy riding chickens — and that’s perfectly fine!
Installing Rideable Chickens (.mcpack)
- Download the mod labeled “.mcpack” below.
- Run the downloaded file to import the addon into MCPE.
- Open Minecraft Pocket Edition and navigate to world settings.
- Set the world to:
— Add-ons. - Select the imported addon.
- It is recommended to restart the Minecraft PE client afterward.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the addon!
Installing Rideable Chickens (.zip)
- Download the mod below.
- Extract the folder from the archive.
- Move the “RideableChickens” folder to the /games/com.mojang/behavior_packs/ directory.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition.
- Create a new world or edit an existing one.
- Set the selected world to use the addon you previously moved to the behavior_packs folder.
- Done! Restart Minecraft PE and enjoy your game!
