Polar Bear Mod — this mod / addon brings one of the features from the PC version of Minecraft to Minecraft Pocket Edition by introducing polar bears into the game. This modification replaces the models of large and small cows with those of large and small polar bears. You can feed, tame, breed, and ride these polar bears. They function similarly to wolves, which can be tamed to accompany you on your journey, but polar bears are significantly larger and stronger, allowing you to ride them!

How to Find a Bear?

White bears will replace cow models in Minecraft PE. The habitat of polar bears is the snowy biome. However, since this is Minecraft, you can encounter white bears almost anywhere, as they will appear in locations where cows used to be. In this case, we spawned in a world of MCPE and immediately found ourselves in a snowy area.

White bears are neutral mobs that will not attack you unless their cub is threatened.

Taming

You can tame a white bear by feeding it raw fish. Hold the fish in your hand and then tap on the bear with a delay of 2-3 seconds. A “Feed” button will appear — click on it. After feeding the bear fish, you will have a 25% chance of taming it. Once tamed, the bear will have 30% more health than a regular bear.

Tamed white bears will follow you and attack other hostile mobs. If the bear is attacked, feed it fish to restore its health. Breeding

Once you have tamed two adult bears, it’s time to think about breeding them. Hold raw fish in your hands and feed both bears simultaneously. They should then engage in mating, and a cub will appear after a few seconds. The cub will be automatically tamed.

The cub will automatically follow you. Feed it raw fish to help it grow.

Installing Polar Bear (.mcpack)

Download the mod marked with “.mcpack” below.
Run the downloaded file to import the addon/texture into MCPE.
Open Minecraft Pocket Edition and go to world settings.
Set the imported:
— Resource Packs.
— Addons.
Select the imported resource/addon packs in each section.
It is recommended to restart the Minecraft PE client afterward.
Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the addon!

Installing Polar Bear (.zip)

Download the mod below.
Extract the two folders from the archive.
Move the folder “polar_bear_add-on_by_gona_behavior_pack” to the /games/com.mojang/behavior_packs/ folder.
Move the folder “polar_bear_add-on_by_gona_resource_pack” to the /games/com.mojang/resource_packs/ folder.
Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition.
Create a new world or edit an existing one.
Set the selected world to use the resource pack and addon that you previously moved to the resource_packs and behavior_packs folders.
Done! Restart Minecraft PE and enjoy the game!
