Want to add a bit of challenge to your Minecraft Pocket Edition experience and introduce some changes? The mod “Odd Mobs (New Mob Abilities)” alters the abilities of certain hostile mobs to make them more engaging. If you’ve been playing MCPE for a while, this is undoubtedly a delightful update that ramps up the game’s difficulty. One of the coolest features is that creepers have finally wised up and now throw TNT bombs instead of exploding instantly.
What’s New?
The creeper has realized that it doesn’t need to self-destruct to harm other creatures in Minecraft PE. Instead, it now tosses TNT bombs that detonate after 2-3 seconds. Occasionally, they might accidentally drop a bomb too close to themselves and end up getting killed, but this is definitely a significant improvement in their behavior.
The blaze now operates like a flamethrower, firing 18 fireballs at you in MCPE before taking a moment to recharge for another round of shots.
Skeletons no longer burn in sunlight. As you may know, wolves are naturally hostile towards skeletons in Minecraft PE. This remains unchanged, but now skeletons will also be hostile towards wolves.
All Mob Changes
Zombies have double health and deal slightly less damage with their attacks.
Skeletons no longer burn in sunlight and are now hostile towards wolves to prevent them from being eaten.
Wolf health and attack damage are doubled.
Wither skeletons now have a poison effect.
Creepers throw TNT when they are near their target.
Blazes act like true flamethrowers, but their health has been reduced.
Ghasts are neutral, but if attacked, they become incredibly dangerous, akin to Neo from The Matrix. It’s hard to explain, just know they are very formidable. Their health is reduced by 3 points.
Endermen have 10 hearts but can teleport every second, making them very difficult to kill.
