Nether Challenge
Gather the necessary amount of obsidian to construct a portal and escape from the Nether in the mod titled Nether Challenge for Minecraft!
You can engage in both single-player and multiplayer modes. Every item collected in the Nether will bring you closer to your objective: mushrooms, zombie pigmen, skeletons, and more.
This mod resembles maps like Skyblock, but this time you won’t have the ability to generate cobblestone. Wood will be your primary resource. You will need to craft plates, tools, and sticks from it.
Despite the challenges, achieving victory is still within reach. Starting from a dirt block and a sapling, players have managed to construct a portal and complete the challenge. However, the Minecraft Nether is filled with traps, lava rivers, and inconvenient spawn points, prompting the creator to simplify things by altering the structure of the Nether. They discovered a glitch that allowed them to completely remove the bedrock at the top of the world, granting users full access to any location. If you wish to travel quickly or escape a spawn area, this issue will no longer be a concern.
Constructing portals presents another common hurdle for players. Fortresses can be located up to 1000 blocks apart, which led the author to introduce an additional feature—a beacon for armor stands. This will point towards the furthest player within a 1000-block radius. While this speeds up gameplay, it also adds complexity. Players will be able to see the approximate locations of their enemies and eliminate them while collecting obsidian blocks in the process.
To obtain a set, you need to locate a named mob and drop a Nether star near it. All sets are balanced and contain essential items:
In the Nether, aside from the native rock formations at the top, there are no alterations, meaning you are essentially playing in the vanilla version of the game.
