More Dogs
We present to you the mod “More Dogs“, which introduces six new dog breeds in Minecraft Bedrock, although they will only replace three mobs. Each dog represents a popular breed from real life, and there’s a good chance you’ll find your favorite (if you have one). To make one of these dogs yours, you’ll need to tame it by feeding it some bones. Once tamed, you can enjoy various activities with your dogs: take them for walks, play with them, and if it’s a poodle, even customize its appearance!
How does it work?
First, you need to locate one of the dogs. They replace vanilla mobs, so they will naturally spawn in your world, but you can also use a spawn egg.
- Poodle (Replaces Sheep) – Can be dyed any color and trimmed for a stylish look.
- Chihuahua (Replaces Rabbit) – The cutest puppies with the most adorable sounds!
- Dalmatians, Beagles, Huskies, and Weimaraners (Replace Ocelots)
To become a dog owner, you first need to tame it. You can do this by feeding it a certain number of bones. When you see heart particles, you’ll know it has been tamed.
- iOS / Android: Long press on the dog with a bone and select Tame.
- Windows 10: Right-click on the dog with a bone to tame it.
Once you’ve tamed a dog in Minecraft Bedrock, it will follow you around. However, if you want more control over it, you can put it on a leash.
The Poodle comes with additional features since it replaces the Sheep. For instance, you can dye the dog using any type of dye, and you can give it a new haircut with shears.

Installing More Dogs (.mcpack)
- Download the mod marked as “.mcpack” below.
- Run the downloaded file to import the addon/texture into MCPE.
- Open Minecraft Pocket Edition and go to world settings.
- Set the imported resources for the world:
— Resource Packs.
— Add-on Packs. - Select the imported resource/addon packs in each section.
- It is recommended to restart the game client Minecraft PE after this.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the addon!
