Lucky Chests
The mod “Lucky Chests (Fortune Chests)” is a fantastic addition for your survival experience in Minecraft Bedrock. It replaces pigs with chests that will randomly spawn throughout your world. However, this isn’t just any ordinary chest in Minecraft, as it operates a bit differently. When opened, it drops a random item (or several items) onto the ground. This will undoubtedly be a delightful surprise during your survival gameplay.
How does it work?
The chests appear in various locations across the world. They completely take the place of pigs, meaning you can no longer consume pork or ride a saddled pig. Nevertheless, it compensates for this by introducing new and exciting features, making the mod quite beneficial in Minecraft Bedrock.
To open a chest, long press on it and select “Open.” While you won’t actually open it, its entity will perish, causing a random item to drop.

- Pumpkin
- 64 Planks
- 64 Bricks
- 64 Arrows and 1 Bow
- 10-20 Iron Ingots
- 64 Logs
- 1 Trident

Installing Lucky Chests (.mcpack)
- Download the mod labeled “.mcpack” below.
- Run the downloaded file to import the addon/resource pack into MCPE.
- Open Minecraft Pocket Edition and navigate to world settings.
- Set the imported packs for your world:
— Resource Packs.
— Addons. - Select the imported resource/addon packs in each section.
- It’s recommended to restart the game client Minecraft PE afterward.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the addon!
Installing Lucky Chests (.zip)
- Download the mod below.
- Extract two folders from the archive.
- Move the “Data” folder to /games/com.mojang/behavior_packs/
- Transfer the “Res” folder to /games/com.mojang/resource_packs/
- Start Minecraft Pocket Edition.
- Create a new world or edit an existing one.
- Assign the selected world the resource pack and addon that you moved earlier to the resource_packs and behavior_packs folders.
- All set! Restart Minecraft PE and have fun playing!
