Sometimes, you find yourself mining stone for hours and start to wonder how much more you could accomplish on the surface, like constructing buildings or enhancing your farm. Yet, you’re stuck searching for valuable ores. It can be exhausting, right? To tackle this issue, we recommend installing the mod “Loot-tastic” for Minecraft Pocket Edition, which allows you to spend your time more productively. This mod is designed to enhance player survival by introducing new drops from mobs, such as iron ingots and diamonds dropping from cows in the MCPE world.
How does it work?
Have you ever counted how many hours you’ve spent hunting for diamonds, iron ore, and other precious resources in Minecraft Pocket Edition? I bet it’s a significant amount of time with a pickaxe in hand… While some may find this engaging, it often consumes a lot of time and can become tedious. Cows, sheep, pigs, and chickens will now drop various useful metals upon death (you can view the complete and accurate list of changes below).
Animal farms will become even more beneficial since you’ll also be able to gather ores from them in the MCPE world! Capture two individuals of the same type and breed them!
Is it worth doing? After killing 16 cows, I received 7 iron ingots and 2 diamonds. I think it’s definitely worth it! Finding these resources in the mines of Minecraft Pocket Edition would take around 20 minutes.
Do you consider this cruel towards animals? Perhaps, but remember, this is Minecraft, and it’s just a game!

Installing Loot-tastic (.mcpack)
- Download the mod marked as “.mcpack” below.
- Run the downloaded file to import the addon into MCPE.
- Open Minecraft Pocket Edition and go to world settings.
- Set the imported:
— Add-on Packs for the world. - Select the imported addon from the section.
- It is recommended to restart the Minecraft PE client afterward.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the addon!
Installing Loot-tastic (.zip)
- Download the mod below.
- Extract the folder “Loot-tastic V2 Behavior Pack” from the archive.
- Move the folder “Loot-tastic V2 Behavior Pack” to the /games/com.mojang/behavior_packs/ directory.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition.
- Create a new world or edit an existing one.
- Apply the addon that you moved earlier to the behavior_packs folder for the selected world.
- Done! Restart Minecraft PE and enjoy playing!
