Hydra

Do you have a passion for diamonds? I bet you do, as there are very few players in the Minecraft PE community who don’t appreciate them, if any at all! 😉 However, digging through mines to find them can get quite tedious. Today, we invite you to install a new mod called “Hydra” for Minecraft Pocket Edition, which introduces an incredible new Boss – the Hydra! So what’s the connection with diamonds? Well, defeating the Hydra rewards you with 10-20 diamonds! Challenge this formidable Boss and test your combat skills.

How to Spawn the Boss?

To summon this Boss in the world of Minecraft Pocket Edition, you’ll need 4 iron blocks and 1 pumpkin. Construct the structure from iron as shown in the screenshot below, then place the pumpkin on top. Before proceeding, it’s wise to prepare thoroughly! Stock up on supplies and be ready for anything.

The Hydra will attack players within 10 blocks or when provoked from a distance (for example, by shooting it with a bow from the MCPE world).

The Hydra spits fireballs that deal significant damage if you don’t dodge them. If you get too close, you’ll receive a claw strike that inflicts 10-30 points of damage in the MCPE world.

The Hydra is quite powerful, boasting 200 health hearts! (For comparison, the Ender Dragon has 100 hearts). But the loot from this Boss will keep you entertained, as you can expect to receive 10-20 diamonds upon defeat.

Installing Hydra (.mcpack)

• Download the mod marked with “.mcpack” below.
• Run the downloaded file to import the addon/texture into MCPE.
• Open Minecraft Pocket Edition and go to world settings.
• Set the imported:
  — Resource Packs.
  — Addons.
• Select the imported resource packs/addon in each section.
• It is recommended to restart the game client Minecraft PE after this step.
• Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the addon!

Installing Hydra (.zip)

• Download the mod below.
• Extract two folders from the archive.
• Move the folder “Hydra_Boss_behavior_pack” to the /games/com.mojang/behavior_packs/ folder.
• Move the folder “Hydra_Boss_resource_pack” to the /games/com.mojang/resource_packs/ folder.
• Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition.
• Create a new world or edit an existing one.
• Apply the resource pack and addon that you moved earlier to the resource_packs and behavior_packs folders.
• All set! Restart Minecraft PE and enjoy your gameplay!
