This mod allows you to encounter a real gorilla in your favorite game, serving as an alternative to the ever-annoying creeper. The young gorilla is adorable, and you must tame it upon meeting, as it can become a loyal companion in the world of MCPE, as well as a great protector against dangers! I believe no one would refuse such a pet.

How to Tame a Gorilla?

When you come across a gorilla in Minecraft Pocket Edition, you can tame it by feeding it some juicy watermelon. However, if there’s an adult gorilla nearby, exercise caution, as it will try to protect its baby, forcing you to defend yourself. Therefore, it’s best to look for solitary gorillas to avoid unnecessary battles.

• IOS/Android: hold the watermelon, long press on the gorilla, then click the appearing Tame button
• Windows 10: hold the watermelon, then right-click on the gorilla

Once you’ve tamed your own gorilla in MCPE, it will always follow you. The baby gorilla is harmless and won’t attack anyone. You can speed up your pet’s growth by feeding it slices of watermelon.

As soon as the gorilla matures, it becomes stronger and can defend you from any enemies in Minecraft PE. Your pet will be ready to give its life for you at any moment!

If one guardian isn’t enough for you, feel free to tame multiple gorillas, and they will all follow you in a group. Should they start to annoy you, you can easily command them to stay put and wait for you.

Installing Gorillas (.mcpack)

• Download the mod marked as “.mcpack” below.
• Run the downloaded file to import the add-on/resource pack into MCPE.
• Open Minecraft Pocket Edition and go to world settings.
• Set the imported:
  — Resource Packs.
  — Add-ons.
• Select the imported resource/add-on packs in each section.
• It is recommended to restart the Minecraft PE client afterward.
• Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the add-on!

Installing Gorillas (.zip)

• Download the mod below.
• Extract two folders from the archive.
• Move the folder “Gorillas Add-On Behavior Pack” to the /games/com.mojang/behavior_packs/ folder.
• Move the folder “Gorillas Add-On Resource Pack” to the /games/com.mojang/resource_packs/ folder.
• Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition.
• Create a new world or edit an existing one.
• Set the selected world with the resource pack and add-on that you moved earlier to the resource_packs and behavior_packs folders.
• Done! Restart Minecraft PE and enjoy playing!
