Crunch
Client-side enhancement for visuals, performance, HUD, and quality of life. No automation or gameplay advantages – purely quality of life features.
This mod is designed exclusively for use on the client side in Minecraft, focusing on improving the HUD, visuals, performance, and overall quality of life, without adding any gameplay automation or advantages. It operates solely on your machine, with all configurations handled through an intuitive GUI (press K to access the menu).
Offers over 55 customizable features across 8 distinct categories:
HUD (21 features) – Includes FPS, ping, coordinates, direction, biome, dimension, an in-game and real-world clock, a day counter, numeric health, durability levels, potion timers, food/saturation stats, attack cooldown, block-breaking progress, current block being interacted with, speed, light level, and memory/performance statistics. Each element on the HUD can be independently moved within the HUD Editor and will auto-align without gaps when other elements are toggled off.
Visual Enhancements (9 features) – Offers Fullbright functionality (a real lightmap-shader override with adjustable intensity rather than a simple gamma adjustment – mutually exclusive with Gamma to prevent conflicts), the ability to toggle fog, control over weather effects, reduction of particles, entity shadows, vignette effects, view bobbing, and lessened screen effects.
Tooltips (6 features) – Showcases durability, item IDs, stack information, food details, scrollable tooltips (which limit lengthy tooltips with Shift+scroll navigation), and Color-Coded Enchantments (by tier level or rainbow animation at maximum enchant level).
Chat Improvements (7 features) – Includes timestamps, highlighting of usernames/keywords, sound notifications for mentions, filters for chat, enhanced readability options, and Infinite Chat (expands scrollback capacity from 100 messages to 10,000).
Control Adjustments (4 features) – Features adjustable zoom (using scroll to modify the field of view live), the ability to toggle sprinting and sneaking, and quick switching between perspectives.
Accessibility Options (4 features) – Contains options for reduced camera movement, sound notification settings, and a high-contrast/readable Crunch UI.
Screenshot Management (3 features) – Allows for dated subfolders, filename prefixes, and shortcut keys for folders.
Performance Options (4 features) – Includes an overall toggle, one-click presets (such as Maximum FPS, Balanced, Visual Quality, and Potato), the option to disable clouds, and a reduction in biome blending effects.
If you’re looking for a lightweight, all-in-one client-side mod to fulfill common quality of life and HUD needs (like fullbright, coordinates display, chat timestamps, and scrollable tooltips), this mod is the ideal solution to consolidate multiple functionalities into a single package.
This mod does not include any features that could alter gameplay or introduce automation, ensuring it remains a quality of life tool rather than an advantage mod.
All settings can be managed from a single GUI, which includes a search function along with the ability to save and load different profiles.
