It’s time to unveil a new mod called Compsognathus for Minecraft Pocket Edition, which brings tiny yet formidable dinosaurs into your beloved game. Despite their small stature, these dinosaurs can be quite dangerous, especially when they roam in large packs throughout the MCPE world. However, there’s no need to worry, as you have a secret weapon: these little dinosaurs become harmless when you hold meat from the MCPE universe.

How Does It Work?

The new dinosaur species in Minecraft Pocket Edition is a small, bipedal creature that replaces the husk. This means you can find this dinosaur in desert biomes. They are hostile towards players and will attack as soon as they spot you.

  • Health: 2 hearts
  • Damage: 1 point

If you find yourself being chased by a large group of dinosaurs in Minecraft Pocket Edition, you can distract them simply by holding a piece of meat.

You can also breed these small dinosaurs in MCPE by feeding two of them regular meat.

Installing Compsognathus (.mcpack)

• Download the mod marked with “.mcpack” below.
• Open the downloaded file to import the addon/texture into MCPE.
• Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition and navigate to the world settings.
• Set the imported:
  — Resource Packs.
  — Addons.
• Select the imported resource/addon packs in each section.
• It is recommended to restart the Minecraft PE client afterward.
• Start Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the addon!

Installing Compsognathus (.zip)

• Download the mod below.
• Extract the two folders from the archive.
• Move the folder “Compsognathus Behavior Pack” to the /games/com.mojang/behavior_packs/ folder.
• Move the folder “Compsognathus Resource Pack” to the /games/com.mojang/resource_packs/ folder.
• Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition.
• Create a new world or edit an existing one.
• Set the selected world with the resource pack and addon that you previously moved to the resource_packs and behavior_packs folders.
• All set! Restart Minecraft PE and enjoy your gameplay!
