CartographerPlus
The mod «CartographerPlus (Cartographer +)» introduces new trades for the cartographer. By accessing these trades in Minecraft Pocket Edition, you can acquire four new exploration maps. These exploration maps are designed to help you locate various structures generated in MCPE, such as mines and temples. While you might stumble upon these structures by chance, you can also use the maps that indicate their locations.
How does it work?
The cartographer is a villager who sells exploration maps. This feature already exists in the world of Minecraft PE, but with this mod, he will offer you four additional maps.
You need to trade with him to unlock all his deals.
- Ruins exploration map
- Shipwreck exploration map
- Buried treasure exploration map
- Mine exploration map: 4 emeralds
- Village exploration map: 8 emeralds
- Temple exploration map: 10 emeralds
- Fortress exploration map: 15 emeralds
- Underwater fortress exploration map: 28 emeralds + 1 compass
- Woodland mansion exploration map: 46 emeralds + 2 compasses
After that, you can use the maps to search for different types of generated structures in Minecraft PE. For instance, I was able to find a mine using one of the maps.
With another map, I discovered a spire. This map was intended for locating a temple in Minecraft Pocket Edition, so I’m not entirely sure what happened in this case. Nevertheless, it helped me find something, which is better than nothing.
Changes
Maps for Ruins, Shipwrecks, and Buried Treasure have been added.
Installing CartographerPlus (.mcpack)
- Download the mod marked with «.mcpack» below.
- Run the downloaded file to import the addon/resource pack into MCPE.
- Open Minecraft Pocket Edition and go to the world settings.
- Set the imported:
— Add-on Packs for the world. - Select the imported resource packs/addons in each section.
- It is recommended to restart the Minecraft PE client afterward.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the addon!
Installing CartographerPlus (.zip)
- Download the mod below.
- Extract the folder «CartographerPlus by hiccupsf» from the archive.
- Move the folder «CartographerPlus by hiccupsf» to the /games/com.mojang/behavior_packs/ folder.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition.
- Create a new world or edit an existing one.
- Set the addon for the selected world that you previously moved to the behavior_packs folder.
- Done! Restart Minecraft PE and enjoy the game!
