Brown Mooshroom
The mod “Brown Mooshroom (Brown Mushrooms)” introduces rare brown mushrooms into Minecraft Bedrock, which were first seen in the Java version following the release of the “Village and Pillage” update.
How does the mod work?
The brown mushroom is exclusively found in Minecraft Java version 1.14. You can obtain it when lightning strikes a red mushroom. However, if lightning strikes it a second time, the mushroom will revert to its original state, becoming red again. If you have this mod installed, you can use the command “/summon java:brown_mooshroom” in creative mode to spawn the brown mushroom.
During a thunderstorm, you can throw an enchanted trident at a red mushroom, which may transform it into a brown one. However, this method is not always reliable, and there is a chance that you might destroy the mushroom instead.
When breeding two mushrooms—a red one and a brown one—you will always end up with a small red mushroom. If you specifically want a small brown mushroom, both of its parents must be brown.
Properties of mushrooms:
- If you break a brown mushroom, you will receive 5 brown mushrooms, and the original mushroom will transform into a cow. The mushrooms that drop cannot be planted and are no longer suitable for cultivation.
- You can milk mushrooms to create vegetable stew. To do this, you need to use a plate while milking.
- Killing small mushrooms will not yield any items or coins, just like killing small animals and other plants.
Installing Brown Mooshroom (.mcpack)
- Download the mod labeled as “.mcpack” below.
- Run the downloaded file to import the add-on/texture into Minecraft.
- Open Minecraft Pocket Edition and navigate to the world settings.
- Set the imported options for the world:
— Resource Packs.
— Add-on Packs. - Select the imported resource packs/add-ons in each section.
- It is recommended to restart the game client Minecraft PE after this.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world Minecraft, and enjoy the add-on!

- Download the mod from the link below.
- Extract the two folders from the archive.
- Move the folder named Brown Mooshroom to the /games/com.mojang/behavior_packs/ directory.
- Transfer the folder Brown Mooshroom to the /games/com.mojang/resource_packs/ directory.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition.
- Create a new world or modify an existing one.
- Apply the resource pack and addon that you previously moved to the resource_packs and behavior_packs folders for the selected world.
- All set! Restart Minecraft PE and enjoy your game!
