Tired of feeling lonely in your own worlds in Minecraft Pocket Edition? You don’t have to endure it any longer. The mod “Boyfriend” allows you to find a partner in MCPE! He will follow you around and carry your items, which is certainly better than being alone. Currently, his capabilities are somewhat limited in gameplay, and he won’t be able to protect you, but hopefully, this will be addressed in future updates.

Finding a Boyfriend

To start, you need to locate a boyfriend in Minecraft PE. They spawn in villages, replacing the villagers. There are five different types of boyfriends, each with their own unique clothing style. For instance, one of them looks just like Steve.

Getting Married

To marry him in Minecraft PE, simply give him a diamond ring (diamond). If he accepts your proposal, you will see a few hearts. Your boyfriend will follow you, but for some reason, he won’t try to stop attackers if you are attacked. This is a minor drawback, but hopefully, it will be fixed in the next update.

What Can He Do?

Your boyfriend is quite strong and can carry your items in MCPE (he has 27 slots for this). However, he can only serve as your loyal companion and follow you everywhere.

Installing Boyfriend (.mcpack)

Download the mod labeled “.mcpack” below.
Run the downloaded file to import the addon/texture into MCPE.
Open Minecraft Pocket Edition and go to world settings.
Set the imported:
— Resource Packs.
— Addons.
Select the imported resource/addon packs in each section.
It is recommended to restart the game client Minecraft PE afterward.
Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the addon!

Installing Boyfriend (.zip)

Download the mod below.
Extract the two folders from the archive.
Move the “boyfriend-behavior” folder to /games/com.mojang/behavior_packs/
Move the “boyfriend-resource” folder to /games/com.mojang/resource_packs/
Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition.
Create a new world or edit an existing one.
Set the selected world with the resource pack and addon that you previously moved to the resource_packs and behavior_packs folders.
Done! Restart Minecraft PE and enjoy the game!
