Better Storage
The mod «Better Storage (Storage Boxes)» introduces a new type of block (added by this mod) that allows you to store all your items in the world of Minecraft Pocket Edition (such as carrots) within a single block. These boxes are sold by a new type of villager known as the box vendor. None of the boxes replace any of the blocks used in Minecraft PE, making it a fantastic addition to the game. This is a really cool concept that greatly enhances storage options in the game.
How do storage boxes work?
The boxes are available from box vendors in MCPE, which are a new type of villager you can find in villages. For instance, if you want to obtain a box for carrots, you can do so by giving the box vendor 64 carrots.
Here’s a list of boxes you can purchase:
- Bone Box – 64 bones
- Gunpowder Box – 64 gunpowder
- Spider Eye Box – 64 spider eyes
- Rotten Flesh Box – 64 rotten flesh
- Carrot Box – 64 carrots
- Potato Box – 64 potatoes
- Sugar Cane Box – 64 sugar cane
After that, the box can be placed anywhere. This is quite convenient as it provides a better overview of your current food and item status in Minecraft PE. However, at this moment, boxes are only available for 7 different items.
You can retrieve items from the box by trading with the box vendor. For example, one carrot box in Minecraft Pocket Edition will return you 64 carrots.
Installing Better Storage (.mcpack)
- Download the mod marked with «.mcpack» below.
- Run the downloaded file to import the addon/texture into MCPE.
- Open Minecraft Pocket Edition and go to world settings.
- Set the imported for the world:
— Resource Packs.
— Addons. - Select the imported resource/addon packs in each section.
- It is recommended to restart the Minecraft PE client afterward.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the addon!
Installing Better Storage (.zip)
- Download the mod below.
- Extract two folders from the archive.
- Move the folder «BetterStor bp» to the /games/com.mojang/behavior_packs/ folder.
- Move the folder «BetterStor rp» to the /games/com.mojang/resource_packs/ folder.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition.
- Create a new world or edit an existing one.
- Set the selected world with the resource pack and addon that you previously moved to the resource_packs and behavior_packs folders.
- Done! Restart Minecraft PE and enjoy the game!
