Minecraft PE 26.50.20 [Beta]

Minecraft PE 26.50.20 is the first 26.50 Beta/Preview, dated July 21, 2026. Drop 3 is still an experiment. Camps now seat cushions with the right color and rotation. Secret chests drop diamonds and potions instead of oxidized copper chains. Android shipped as Beta. Official notes say the Preview will not be available on iOS this week. The changelog block is still Drop 3 Experimental Features: this is the start of the 26.50 line, not the toggle-off beta and not the 26.40.05 store client.

Android this week, no iOS Preview

A new world without the switch will not grow the forest or the camp. Turn the experiment on at create time or on a copied save — steps in Help. A later beta takes the toggle off; this card does not. Full 26.40.05 with the same experiment on the store and neighbor 26.50.22 sit under Download Minecraft PE.

Biome-correct camps and the hidden diamond chest

An abandoned camp now picks the variant that matches its biome instead of stamping the generic forest kit on cherry, taiga and other specialized woods. Cushions in the camp generate with the right coordinates, rotation and color — not a white seat at the wrong angle. Secret chests can hold diamonds and potions. Oxidized copper chains no longer fill that cache.

Biome and camp points sit under seeds and maps. Camp and wool packs live under Add-Ons.

Place cushions side by side, sit one texel higher

You can place a cushion flush against another if the crosshair sits on the edge of the one already down. If lava destroys the cushion under the player, the sitter is not pulled into the ground. Any ingredient from the cushion recipe unlocks the book and shows the toast. The cushion name localizes. The sit pose sits a little lower; seat height is +1 texel.

Poplar saplings compost. Shelf mushrooms burn correctly in lava — not the instant-break line from a later beta. Wool stairs and slabs no longer conduct redstone. The stretched crack overlay on a straw bed is fixed. Growing a shelf mushroom underfoot no longer drops the player through it. Red shrubs can be snowlogged. Shelf mushrooms gained break particles. The poplar sign UI matches Java. The hay bale is symmetrical again. Wandering traders can sell poplar logs. Wolf colors in the dappled forest were corrected.

From the general pass, briefly: hoppers at large coordinates no longer grab from the side; an east- or south-facing dropper does not dump into the block below; endermen dodge projectiles. Client 26.50.20 is for testers who still need the Drop 3 switch. The file is in Download Minecraft PE.
