Minecraft PE 26.44.03 [Full Release]

Minecraft PE 26.44.03 is the full Android 26.44 hotfix from August 14, 2026. It sits on 26.40 and repairs command targeting, the Android Back key, a weakly charged arrow, add-on world loading, Education plus Vibrant Visuals, and Pocket UI shift-click. The channel is Full Release, not Beta. Store metadata may show an inner 1.26.44.x string; that label appears only here. A later file on the same line is a different card. This page is the 26.44 package itself, dated August 14, not a second-wave follow-up.

The six 26.44 bugs in plain language

The wave notes went up on August 14 in the 26.44/45 Hotfix Changelog. This article uses the 26.44 block from that date, not the later Android follow-up. Six is the count of player-facing items, not a score.

A non-operator running /tell no longer gets silently added as a target. A lightly drawn bow no longer sends the arrow back into the shooter (MCPE-240527): at short range the projectile clipped the player hitbox. Both show up in a normal session. No new block arrives with this hotfix 26.44.

Why the Back key and Pocket UI mattered on phones

On Android the Back key again closes the current screen — chest, inventory, pause — instead of sending the client to the background (MCPE-241324). After 26.40 that key often dumped the whole session. How to install a full release and what the system key should do are in Help.

In Creative Pocket UI, a quick move into a free slot no longer deletes the item (MCPE-241415). On the compact hotbar, shift-click looked like a block vanishing. The full client 26.44.03 restores the transfer. That is a thumb problem on a phone, not a new recipe.

Add-on loading and Education worlds after this client

Loading a world with certain add-ons is less likely to drop the session (MCPE-241505). The save opened and then kicked the player. Those worlds live under Add-Ons; try a copy first.

Vibrant Visuals no longer shut off when an Education-featured world loads (MCPE-240476). Anyone running shaders on that pipeline will see this before any new block. For add-on authors, in one line: custom dimension bounds are read from JSON again.

Take this full client 26.44.03 if 26.40 still breaks Back, a light bow shot, Pocket transfer, or an add-on world. If the phone already runs a later full build and those six cases do not return, leave 26.44 alone. The APK is in Download Minecraft PE.
