Minecraft PE 26.40.27 [Beta]

Minecraft PE 26.40.27 is Beta/Preview 26.40.27 from June 23, 2026. Drop 3 of 2026 first lands as an experiment: dappled forest, poplar trees and abandoned camps. Cushions are not in this build. Android gets Beta; Windows, Xbox, PlayStation and iOS get Preview. iOS of that wave shipped June 21. Without the Drop 3 of 2026 toggle there is no biome. This is not the Wilderness Bound release and not a store-wide drop. Straw beds are also absent here — both items arrive later in 26.40.30.

First Drop 3 toggle, no cushion yet

Flip the switch when you create a world or when you copy a save. Chunks you already built will not become forest. Achievements go dark; you cannot turn the experiment off later, so copy the file first. Steps in Help. Client 26.40.27 does not sneak in a seat or a disposable bed: if you are hunting a cushion in the camp, you opened the wrong card. Wait for 26.40.30 only if you want the seat; the forest is already in this beta 26.40 once the toggle is on.

Poplar colors, shrubs, bouncy shelf mushrooms

Dappled Forest sits near cold biomes: poplars, fallen trunks, red shrubs, shelf mushrooms, leaf litter, the odd spruce. Leaves come red, yellow and orange. The wood set is its own, the door has its own face, the tone is pale brown. A wandering trader can sell the sapling. The shrub composts; bone meal on a neighbor grows another.

Shelf mushrooms come in two sizes on standing and fallen poplar. Meal grows the small one; the large drops two items, goes in stew and has a little bounce. The same trader can carry a shelf. Cold edges are easier from seeds and maps.

Camps across forest biomes, wool stairs, crossbow damage

Camps are not “most forests.” Notes list meadows, cherry, forest, birch, flower forest, taiga, swamp, savanna, sparse jungle, wooded badlands, the dappled forest itself and a further run of wooded and cold biomes. Chests and barrels sit on the pad. Pale garden and flower-forest camps expand later; in the 26.40.27 premiere stay with the notes list, not the .30 card. Straw beds and cushions do not exist as new items in client 26.40.27.

Wool slabs and stairs in all 16 colors join the same experiment: camps are built from them. Forest and wool packs live under Add-Ons.

Outside the drop, briefly: arrows from a mob crossbow share one damage rule no matter who fired; Xbox Preview adds frame pacing, off by default; an expired Realm gets a Delete control on the Subscriptions tab. From the sulfur line — you no longer soft-lock inside a sulfur cube’s box. Beta 26.40.27 is for seeing the forest behind the toggle, not for sitting. The file is in Download Minecraft PE.
