Minecraft PE 26.40.22/23 [Beta]

Minecraft PE 26.40.22/23 is the June 9, 2026 Beta/Preview wave. Accessibility gets a slider for nausea and Nether-portal distortion. The sulfur cube is no longer treated as hostile: it will not stop sleep or count for Monster Hunter. Underwater Vibrant Visuals show clouds, sun, moon and stars again. Android gets Beta; Windows, Xbox, PlayStation and iOS get Preview. One notes article, not two drops. No dappled forest and no Java-parity boats in this client yet.

Feedback published a single page: Minecraft Beta & Preview — 26.40.22/23. Stores pick up .22 or .23; the list is the same. In the body this 26.40.22 wave and a .23 build can swap names — they are not the later 26.40.26 boats or the 26.40.27 forest. How much the portal may warp the screen

Accessibility now has Screen distortion: how hard nausea and a Nether portal twist the view. The effect was already there; the slider is new. If nausea and the portal bury chat, this 26.40.22 wave is the distortion amount, not a new shader. Clouds, sun, moon and stars in Vibrant Visuals draw when the camera is underwater, not in every world. PBR packs with actor heightmaps no longer break a mob model under those visuals. Sulfur cube steps, sleep, Frost Walker vs magma cube

The cube is not hostile: it does not block sleep (MCPE-239139), does not grant Monster Hunter, and conduits leave it alone. A .23 build does not turn it into a pet — only the “monster” flag, sleep and the achievement change. Sulfur cubes and slimes play no step sound. A bucketed cube no longer strips snow layers. Frost Walker protects you from a cube that ate a magma block (MCPE-238662). Surface spawn in sulfur caves ignores light. After it spits a block the cube walks and does not sink. Cave seeds sit under seeds, packs under Add-Ons.

A thrown egg no longer launches the target (MCPE-238865). Shulker boxes play the pickup pop in a slot again. An invalid custom skin shows the error dialog — skins. Realm-only tips appear when you load a Realm. Wave 26.40.22/23 is the slider and the cube’s status, not the forest. Install wave 26.40.22/23 for the slider and sleep in a sulfur cave.
