Minecraft PE 26.40.20 [Beta]

Minecraft PE 26.40.20 is the first 26.40 Beta/Preview, dated June 2, 2026 — two weeks before the 26.30 store build. Potent sulfur erupts through flowing liquids. Sulfur-cave water fog shifts toward blue. The Bounce disc can appear in mineshafts when its experiment is on. Android gets Beta; other stores get Preview. Chaos Cubed was not on the storefront yet. There is no dappled forest.

Why 26.40.20 exists before Chaos Cubed ships

Branch 26.40 opened while 26.30 was still waiting on store approval. This beta polishes the drop in test — it is not “after 26.30 shipped.” Full 26.30.05 and wave 26.40.22/23 sit under Download Minecraft PE. Layer notes: Minecraft Beta & Preview — 26.40.20. Potent sulfur order in Creative, Bounce in mineshafts

Potent sulfur punches through flowing liquid. In Creative it sits after plain sulfur, not after polished sulfur. Party names render blue. Bounce chests in abandoned mineshafts only with Villager Trade Rebalancing on — the disc is not vanilla. A turtle can leash to a balloon when EDU is enabled.

A sulfur cube holding a block no longer freezes. Adjacent cubes stop shoving each other. Absorption from the hand cuts off past 8 blocks: the cube will not reach across a cave for the block in your fingers. A named bucket lists the eaten block. Caves and cubes sit under seeds and Add-Ons.

Bucketed mobs forget fire, fall damage and old targets

Water fog in sulfur caves is bluer, not green (MCPE-238660). A ghost block appeared if you uncrouched and placed on a pot, item frame or chest in the same tick. A mob poured from a bucket no longer keeps pre-capture fall damage, fire, attack target or speed, and can enter a Nether portal again.

Text-field narration no longer restarts on every letter. Sweet-berry damage writes a caption. Leash knots pull cleanly. Shulker hurt and pillager celebrate play again. Music fades next to a jukebox. One chicken variant got new hurt and death lines. Menu music starts after the splash, not with it. Texture Streaming keeps guardian beams, End-crystal beams and enchantment glint intact — see shaders. Realms Hub spacing moved; not a panel catalog. Backup before a beta is in Help.
