Minecraft PE 26.23.01 [Full Release]

Minecraft PE 26.23.01 is the full Android 26.23 hotfix from May 21, 2026. Mojang aimed it at Android and Realms. Vibrant Visuals painted black squares on some phones. The second line is assorted gameplay crashes. No new drop content. Full Release. Store metadata may show 1.26.23.1; that string belongs here. The line sits after 26.22 in the 26.20 family, before Chaos Cubed 26.30. Sulfur caves are not in this number — they arrive with 26.30, not with the square hotfix. It is not the 30 FPS lock and not the add-on UV pass.

Android and Realms wave, not a console drop

The notes frame a wave for Android and Realms. This card is not a console-wide must-install: the phone takes 26.23.01 if the tiles were already on screen. Realm worlds rode the same wave with the client; the article does not sell a subscription. MCPE-238627 black tiles when Vibrant Visuals is on

On certain Android devices with Vibrant Visuals on, the screen filled with black tiles (MCPE-238627). Some players saw the squares when rotating the phone. With Vibrant Visuals off there were no tiles — the hotfix is not “any dark graphics.” Hotfix 26.23.01 clears that artifact. It does not promise Vibrant Visuals on every weak handset: if the device cannot run the mode, the patch does not add hardware. Pair it with shaders.

Crashes only — skip it if visuals already look clean

Install after 26.22 if the squares already showed or the session crashed. Several gameplay crashes closed in one sentence, with no crash names. A world without Vibrant Visuals and without crashes may not notice this hotfix. Backup before swapping clients is in Help. Client 26.23.01 is black squares on Android, not “graphics got better.” Install 26.23.01 after 26.22 if the tiles already ate the frame. If the screen is clean, wait for 26.30.
