Fixes in Minecraft Bedrock 1.19.40.20
In the past week, developers have managed to identify around thirty bugs. The primary improvements focused on:
- Incorrect monster spawning in the Ancient City
- Displaying NPC names
- Breaking falling blocks
- Diagonal movement when using the keyboard
- Redstone signals in circuits
- Functionality of sticky piston sides
- Player name display issues
- Water textures near swamp blocks
- Guard floating in the air
- Mobs following players into the Nether in Minecraft
- Villager appearances in mountain groves
- Text-to-speech when a character dies
- Disappearance of achievements
- Missing boats
Minecraft Bedrock Edition and Java have received updates. These changes aim to align the game versions:
- The spectator’s level is retained upon death
- Experience orbs do not reset in spectator mode
- In PvP, item names are displayed upon a kill
- Grass color representation for different biomes has been corrected
Touch controls have been enhanced:
- Display settings can be adjusted
- Automatic jumping helps players exit water at the shore
- The initial block breaking in creative mode is now slower
- Items can be dragged in the inventory using gestures
- Flight deactivation functions more effectively
- Effects have been repositioned
