In Minecraft 1.17.0.50, players can expect a wealth of new features – lush caves have been introduced, along with the addition of amethyst. You will be able to craft several new items at the crafting table. As always, the developers have focused on enhancing the stability of the gameplay experience.
The outer layer of the geode features a new block – smooth basalt
The second layer is made up of another new block – calcite
The inner layer consists of clusters of amethyst blocks.
Amethyst clusters and crystals have emerged, primarily found within Minecraft PE 1.17.0.50 inside geodes:
Clusters progress through several growth stages
A fully grown cluster yields four amethyst crystals
You can use a silk touch tool to harvest at any growth stage
To obtain more crystals, utilize a tool enchanted with fortune
If an amethyst block has access to both water and air, it can grow crystals
The developers have added delightful sounds when interacting with amethyst blocks.
Additionally, Minecraft BE has introduced several new items, including tinted glass and a spyglass. Tinted glass can be crafted at a crafting table by combining amethyst with regular glass. The spyglass is made from copper ingots and amethyst. By default, the developers set a slower camera speed when using the spyglass, but this can be adjusted in the settings.
In the beta version of Minecraft 1.17.0.50, a minor adjustment was made for certain types of ores:
Raw ores for gold, copper, and iron have been introduced
These will now appear in the inventory instead of ore blocks
This raw material can now be smelted into ingots
Old ore blocks can still be smelted.
