A new version of Minecraft 1.2 for Android has been released, marking the beginning of a new era. From now on, Minecraft Pocket Edition will no longer be available for handheld devices and will simply be referred to as Minecraft. During the launch of Minecraft 1.2.0.81 for Android, an extensive list of changes was published, essentially compiling updates from all previous builds of MCPE.

The new version of Minecraft 1.2 for Android is titled the Better Together Update. This name suggests that we can now completely move on from MCPE, as developers aim to unify all game versions into a single one – Minecraft.
